Experienced Used Vehicle Manager

Job Overview:
As the Used Vehicle Manager, you will oversee every aspect of our pre-owned vehicle operations, including inventory management, appraisals, reconditioning, and sales. This is a strategic leadership role for someone with a hands-on approach who can ensure profitability, exceed customer expectations, and effectively lead our sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all areas of the used vehicle department, including inventory control, appraisals, reconditioning, and merchandising of vehicles.
Build, train, and motivate the sales team to ensure they are knowledgeable about the vehicles and the sales process.
Walk the lot daily with the team to maintain knowledge of vehicle condition, pricing, and overall presentation, ensuring all areas are clean and well-maintained.
Determine trade-in values and vehicle purchase terms for customers.
Price vehicles competitively and ensure inventory is accurately valued.
Oversee the reconditioning process, ensuring all vehicles meet Mercedes-Benz quality standards.
Perform vehicle appraisals and manage trade-ins efficiently.
Collaborate with the General Manager to set competitive pricing strategies and maintain optimal inventory levels.
Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the pre-owned vehicle market.
Maintain exceptional customer service standards throughout the buying process.
Analyze and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) related to pre-owned vehicle sales.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Used Vehicle Manager, preferably in a dealership with luxury brands.
Track record of delivering exceptional customer satisfaction (CSI).
In-depth knowledge of the used vehicle market, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
Strong leadership and team development abilities.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive environment.
Previous experience in auto sales management.
Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills.
Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
