USA - Test Engineer
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Test Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is in the biomedical engineering industry and primarily entails working on improving human performance and safety by applying principles of human factors and ergonomics. The successful candidate will be expected to work at our Milwaukee office, although remote work might be considered. Responsibilities: • Serve as a subject matter expert in applying Human Factors standards and best practices to the product development process. • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional/cross-location project teams, working with limited supervision. • Support the creation of user needs claims and critical tasks during the product requirements phase. • Conduct user research and usability testing to ensure our products meet customers' needs. • Apply regulatory standards to medical device and software development. • Support the analysis of use errors and their potential impacts to improve product and interface designs. • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in human factors engineering. • Be involved in the design and implementation of safe, intuitive, and competitively differentiated user experience solutions for clinicians and patients. • Assist in the development of protocols, running studies, and creating documentation that meets regulatory standards and those of our Quality Management System. • Utilize critical thinking skills to solve user needs and use related hazards. Requirements • Possess strong customer service skills to interact with clients and team members effectively • Proficient in creating and maintaining documentation for system processes and procedures • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting • Background in marketing to contribute to the promotion of testing procedures and results • Demonstrated ability in planning and executing test cases based on project requirements • Research skills to stay up-to-date with the latest testing tools and industry trends • Proficiency in Microsoft Word for drafting test cases and documenting results • Strong commitment to quality and thoroughness, with an eye for detail • Ability to review and validate test results, ensuring alignment with expected results • Experience in design and implementation of test plans and procedures • Proven skills in project management to oversee testing processes from inception to completion • Experience in supervising a team of testers, fostering a collaborative work environment • Familiarity with claim administration and medical coverage policies • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint for presenting test results to stakeholders • Educational background in Engineering or related field • Excellent communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders and articulate test results • Experience in clinical trial operations, ensuring adherence to protocols • Excellent time management skills to meet project deadlines • Ability to execute test cases precisely to detect potential issues • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams • Familiarity with creating charts and graphs to visually represent test results • Knowledge of best practices in test engineering to ensure efficient testing processes • Adherence to protocols in all testing procedures to maintain consistency and reliability.
