PURPOSE STATEMENT:
Responsible for Alorica’s North America Payroll Tax policies standards. Ensures the company’s adherence to all payroll related local, state, provincial, federal, and other applicable foreign tax laws, and procedures. Coordinates registration in payroll tax localities. Conducts intermittent audits and manages payroll tax records. Finds solutions to payroll tax irregularities by gathering and analyzing data and performing modifications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Job Functions:
• Research and Analyze Payroll Tax Data - 50%
• Prepare Financial Reports - 25%

• Ensure the organization’s compliance with North America payroll tax reporting and withholding responsibilities.
• Oversees the coordination with vendors to ensure systems are updated appropriately.
• Registration of new employment tax jurisdictions.
• Stays current on legislative and industry changes that affect US and Canada payroll tax withholding, remittance, or filing obligations.
• Manages daily cash funding to the employment tax vendors, guarantees all tax remittances, filings, amendments, and returns are accurate and accomplished on time to reduce tax obligations.
• Leads all quarterly and year-end activities including balancing, reporting, administering W2, W2 Corrections, and T4s to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Provides subject matter expertise to support mergers, acquisitions, tax setups, integrations, technical tax upgrades, etc.
• Partners with Corporate Tax, IT, and Employee Experience (HR) with company Payroll Tax initiatives.
• Participates in internal and external Payroll Tax audits to ensure accuracy of vendor information and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Ensure customer service excellence is consistently provided to Alorica’s internal and external customers.
List required software, hardware & technology of the work unit:
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Experience working in an Oracle and ADP environment preferred
• Experience with ORACLE HR/Payroll and timekeeping systems a plus
Others:
• Oversees intricate payroll tax projects and specialized projects involving the Payroll Department, including assistance involving management, reorganization or merging of functional duties associated with technical upgrades.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Finance, or Human Resources
EXPERIENCE:
3 years and above experience with US Payroll Tax
Other:
• Graduation from an accredited university or college with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Human Resources, or other similar degree preferred.
• US Payroll multi-state payroll tax withholding experience required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience, SME for multistate tax (candidates do not need to come from a global organization)
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred
OTHER INFORMATION (Skills and Abilities):
• Strong knowledge in the following areas of Payroll; processing, corrections, taxes (multi-state and reciprocity), employee payroll tax maintenance, expats, gross-to-net calculations, taxable fringe benefit, year-end W-2s, W-2cs, T4s and other related payroll tax tasks
• Comprehensive understanding of payroll tax and knowledge of the statutory environment including local, federal, multi-state and Provincial jurisdiction laws
• Working experience with ADP, HRMS, and other payroll and tax filing platforms
• Strong accounting, analysis, problem solving, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and present detailed financial analysis and reports
• Demonstrated self-starter, ability to adapt rapidly to new information
