**Your Opportunity**
The Stantec Community Development group is seeking an Urban Planner (Entry Level) who is an energetic and creative individual for a full-time position in the San Antonio, Austin or Houston, TX offices. This role will work with multiple project managers through multiple Stantec offices. The selected candidate will be a team member responsible for comprehensive planning & zoning for public and private sector clients. This role has the potential opportunity to lead to a future Project Management role.
**Your Key Responsibilities**
+ Create/Review/edit planning reports and assist with client coordination.
+ Land Development Code, Comprehensive Plan research including writing goals, objectives, policies & regulating language.
+ GIS skills for maps / exhibits
+ Public meeting preparation, attendance, presentations.
+ Assisting senior planning staff with tasks as needed.
+ Proficient in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook email and calendar functions; Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign and Illutrator is a plus as well as using other platforms such as Social Pinpoint and Miro are also a plus.
+ Modeling and Rendering software such as ArcGIS Urban, Sketchup, D5 and Lumion experience is a plus.

**Your Capabilities and Credentials**
A task-oriented self-starter, who can grasp new concepts quickly and work independently.
Professional appearance and excellent written & verbal skills are required along with the ability to work in a time- sensitive, fast-paced team environment.
**Education and Experience**
Bachelor's Degree in Urban Planning or related field. 1-3 years' experience in a professional architectural & engineering firm.
