**SUMMARY:**
The position will provide ongoing maintenance and standardization of the Byram Toolbox which is used by the company to manage the myriads of 500+ insurances necessary to bill more than 140,000 consumers every month. The position will coordinate changes to the UPG from various business units; Sales, Managed Care, Contracting, Collections, Financial Clearance and Customer Service, and will disseminate any necessary changes to the organization. Required to provide supportive training and communications to the company relating to the Byram Toolbox and payer changes/updates. The position will act in a leading role to drive appropriate use of insurance payers to support the revenue cycle and support a reduction in write-offs and bad debt.

**Core Responsibilities:**
+ Maintain the Universal Payor Grid (UPG) and ensure its ongoing implementation and standardization. Research Payer updates and changes and communicate changes to the organization.
+ Validate all requests submitted thru the UPG email address and/or Byram Toolbox and update accordingly.
+ Maintain a log of all changes/updates. Send News Flash to communicate all UPG changes as needed.
+ Review all Policy Reporter updates to determine if update is pertinent to the business. Update UPG and ERP, as well as communicate necessary changes to the appropriate business units.
+ Register for access to all Payer websites and utilize websites to keep abreast of all Payer changes. Research Payer Specific Rules and update UPG and ERP accordingly.
+ Update all additional tools available within the Byram Toolbox on a consistent and timely basis.
+ Demonstrate understanding of applicable plans for different payers and work with the Contracting Team to implement a strategy to support those plans.
+ Have a full understanding of Customer Type, Bill to and Reimbursement File relationship rules within ERP. Make all required ERP updates as needed or forward the ERP update request to appropriate personal.
+ Identify and resolve problems, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
+ Develop quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
**Qualifying Experience:**
+ A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of experience in the health care industry.
+ 2+ years of experience with provider contracting or commensurate experience.
+ Ability to travel up to 10%
+ Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office software; expertise in MS Excel required, including knowledge of if statements, VLOOKUP, COUNTIF, conditional formatting, pivot tables, and similar.
+ Knowledge of COGNOS as well as other accounting/financial reporting tools a plus
+ Stellar work ethic, attention to detail and desire to learn
+ Strong interpersonal skills, establishing rapport and working well with others
+ Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and Managed Care/private insurance landscape required
+ Regulatory knowledge relating to above insurances a plus
+ Experience working for an insurance company a plus
Estimated pay for this position is $20-$30 hour, based on experience
