Job Title: Payroll Coordinator

Our Client:
Our client is the New York State Office of General Services (OGS) and they are seeking a payroll coordinator for one of their teams. This is a temporary position (W2 Only) in New York, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual. The contract is expected to last 2 years with a pay range of $28-$35/hr. This is an in-office role, so you must be commutable to New York. Key Responsibilities
Prioritize and structure workload to transmit and audit data from various University entities, ensuring adherence to policies and Collective Bargaining provisions.Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure compliance with Payroll policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements.Independently improve customer service and client interactions by adapting payroll processes.Manage dissatisfied employees and clients, resolving complaints with sound judgment.Prepare and process Payroll in line with policies, regulations, and Collective Bargaining Agreements, conducting detailed audits for accuracy.Implement payroll bulletins and Collective Bargaining Agreements for accurate payroll processing.Process special payroll transactions (e.g., tax form corrections, paycheck replacements) and ensure accurate recalculation of payments and deductions.Assist Managers with Payroll audits to meet Collective Bargaining Agreement deadlines.Audit and analyze payroll to ensure timely and accurate implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.3+ years of Payroll experience.HR experience is a plus.Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of federal, state, and city payroll regulations.Familiarity with CUNY titles, classification systems, and payroll coding in NYC or NYS.Strong analytical, technical, and research skills for auditing and reporting.Experience with NYS OSC PSQuery (PeopleSoft) and NYC CHRMS query systems.Proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Word, and PeopleSoft.High professionalism and integrity to ensure confidentiality.Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team.Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.#IND-1
