As a United Academy Manager - Northeast Region at United Rentals, you ensure the provision of effective safety training for customers. This training is vital as it generates revenue through United Rentals value proposition. You will lead the day to day Operations, the development and implementation of the Region’s Equipment / Safety training, region strategy and design solutions for customer specific training program needs.

**Candidates must live within the NE Region (Eastern Canada, NE US).


What you’ll do:

In collaboration with the United Academy Sr Management, the assigned RPDM and the Region Sales & Marketing Director, develop and implement customer Equipment / Safety training strategies and go-to-market implementation plans for the region

Responsible for leadership of the Region United Academy Training team composed essentially of  Equipment / Safety Trainers

Continually implement process improvements to administration on customer training, lowering costs and increasing program profitability

Full responsibility over the Northeast Region United Academy P&L, Account Receivable, Training Audit Scores and Net Promoter Scores.  

Provide progress and status reports on all training aspects to all levels of Region management as required

Engage in the sales strategies of the Region by partnering with the Outside Sales team to present and report on training metrics, safety requirements, and sales growth opportunities

Manage Equipment / Safety training programs in the Region and audit Trainer delivery

Responsible for leadership of internal and external required safety training programs and other safety training as necessary

Stay current with all technical and occupational safety laws, initiatives, and requirements by attending ongoing training.

Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or a combination of college and related work experience required

Bilingual (French) preferred

Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in operations management and/or business development

Must be a strong team player with the ability to organize, prioritize, handle time constraints and manage shifting priorities

Experience conducting train-the-trainer programs preferred

Safety experience or formal safety education preferred

Knowledge of the Equipment / Safety training industry preferred

Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite required

Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred, but not required

Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Travel approximately 60% of the time
