Duties & Responsibilities Prepare all assigned records, calculations, and documentation.Read and follow schedules, procedures, and documents.Assist in training other employees in an area of responsibility as assigned.Assist staff in developing new procedures and methods or improving old ones.Use and understand computer assisted data entry, and process logic controllers (PLCs) including SAP.Follow safety precautions and procedures.Perform, independently, transactions into the FedEx or other shipping system.Load trucks, identify and count incoming materials intended for distribution.Independently count, transfer, and locate production materials, and finished goods throughout the warehouse.Perform routine inventory counts, inclusive of required data entry into the ERP System.Independently identify the need for and perform housekeeping throughout the distribution areas to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and policies and procedures.Independently use and understand computer assisted data entry as well as perform computer transactions to ensure inventory accuracy.Independently operate the Microsoft Office suite, in particular the following modules: Excel, Word, and E-Mail, as they relate to the employees responsibilities.Independently operate the companies ERP particularly as it relates to the following functions: Transfers, Finish Goods Distribution, and General Inventory Management.Must be competent and reliable driver of motor vehicles, including warehouse Powered Industrial Trucks Order Pickers and walk behind powered jacks.Able to identify freight damage during loading and unloadingAble to sustain heavy lifting over extended periods of time.Working knowledge of all product names, incoming materials, and storage locations.Operate Floor Scrubber, Floor Sweeper and other housekeeping duties.Perform duties associated with Distribution process to include use of handheld scanner.All other duties as assigned.Assist higher grade operators under supervisionMay perform jobs of the lower grades as required.Requirements High school diploma or equivalent requiredCommunication SkillsGood verbal and written communication skills and ability to train others.Ability to work in a team environment.Mathematical SkillsPerform calculations and conversions involving weights, volumes, and percentages.Reasoning AbilityAbility to use basic logic to identify and solve problemsKnowledge and skill to recognize creative ideas that add value and are able to be implemented to improve efficiency, effectiveness and reduce complexity for departmentMechanical AptitudeDemonstrated understanding of systems, equipment, and processesForklift certified and able to maintain annual certificationComputer SkillsExperience with Windows Operating System.Proficient in typing abilityComprehension and applicationProficient reading, comprehension and application skills toward a diverse set complicated tasks.
