Underwriting Technician
Job Description Insight Global is looking for an eager and driven individual to join a collaborative team of underwriters and technicians at an insurance agency in Richmond, VA. The ideal individual will have some familiarity with insurance processes and 1-3 years of professional experience in a corporate environment. This individual will provide support to assigned underwriters by processing transactions according to departmental timelines and accuracy standards. They will also communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts and demonstrate a positive and productive team-oriented work environment. This position will start with a hybrid schedule and may be transitioned to remote. Duties include: · Continuously exhibit and uphold Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Communication and Teamwork, Innovation and Customer Service · Enter new & renewal policy submissions by Division as assigned · Book and issue new and renewal business for assigned underwriters according to departmental timeliness standards · Process cancellations and reinstatements, and other endorsements according to departmental timeliness standards · Respond to email requests in a timely manner · Handle special projects as assigned by Team Lead or UW Technical Specialist This is a long-term contract opportunity that will compensate between $21-25/hour and is based on years of experience.
