About the role What you need to know: Member of the North American (NA) Casualty Management team which focuses on: + Process Coordination and Underwriting/Operational Excellence for North American Casualty. + Cross Product coordination point for reporting, analysis, training, reporting and strategies to improve underwriting performance + Dean of Casualty Underwriting University Responsibilities of the Role: + Support the Chief Underwriting Officer and NA Product Line Manager in partnering with NA Casualty Business Heads to ensure alignment + Coordinate the monitoring and development of Underwriting guidelines + Lead Casualty Specific projects across products – Set up a Community of Practice, Regulatory and Compliance Roundtables, Tool/Rater enhancement in coordination with Actuarial and Claims + Lead Reinsurance coordination for North American Casualty (liaison with Ceded Re Team, Actuarial & Finance) + Management and administration of underwriting authorities including collaboration with Underwriting Authority Management Team. This includes administration of new authorities for all minor lines (where applicable) and support build out of new grant. + Ownership of the Casualty Underwriting University. Coordination with Accenture over build out of new courses, administration of courses and working with product and regional managers for the continuous development of course material, pathway meetings with L&D, progress reporting to senior management, co-ordination with other product line Deans; + Coordinate with Casualty Audit team, product leads and casualty management within businesses on the Casualty audit schedule, access support and trouble shooting during audits; + Support CUO NA presentations (internal and external) + Support CUO with analyzing and drawing conclusions from internal and external data (ie. Scorecards) + Support the management of third-party suppliers and vendors utilized by the businesses in pre/ post incident services. Experience: This role is suited for someone who has 5+ of insurance industry experience or someone who has completed an Industry Graduate program in either Underwriting, Actuarial or Finance as well as 2+ years of working experience. For positions based in New York City, the base salary range is $125,000-$135,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
