The Continental Europe Underwriting Center in Madrid is a vital part of Chubb's EMEA business. By joining Chubb's multilingual and multiline team in Madrid, you will support small and medium-sized clients (and the brokers who serve them) in the French market, communicating in their language.

 

This position reports directly to the Team Leader for France and focuses on underwriting property risks for the French market.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional service to brokers and act as a key contact for external and internal stakeholders, including local country representatives, for business processed in the underwriting center. Underwrite, evaluate, and price property risks in accordance with Chubb guidelines and underwriting authority. Collaborate closely with underwriting and sales teams to ensure portfolio sustainability, promote our property offerings, and identify cross-selling opportunities. Review and adapt underwriting proposals, leading contract negotiations with brokers to secure favorable terms. Support brokers in managing small and medium-sized enterprises by maintaining strong commercial relationships, delivering quality service, and meeting deadlines through effective communication via phone and email, with occasional in-person visits as necessary. Ensure effective management of property policies throughout their life cycle, from inception to renewal. Cooperate with internal departments such as Operations, Claims, and Small and Middle Market Segments leaders to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Contribute to all developments necessary to achieve our business strategies and objectives in the French property market.

Requirements and skills

Native or bilingual level in FrenchC1 level in English is a mustAt least 2-3 years experience in the insurance sector, preferably in property insurance.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with brokers and clients.Bachelor's degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook and Word). Effective communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.Strong attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and willingness to deliver and improve the quality of our offerings.Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
