Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative. Performs formal and informal instruction when necessary, particularly to students. Maintain a high level of continuing education. Participate in "call". Qualifications: Required: + High School Graduate + Completion of an approved Ultrasound program that meets the requirements set by the RDMS + 0-1 years of experience as a staff technologist Certifications and Licenses Required: + Must be certified by the RDMS or eligible to become certified within six months of employment Scheduling Requirements: + Day shift with nights and weekends coverage + Per Diem Essential Functions: + Perform General and Vascular Ultrasound + Explains all procedures to patients + Assist Radiologists and Surgeons, as needed + Review charts, scripts and referrals and orders with all correct pertinent information + Order supplies, as needed + Run s Open orders and Charges out incomplete exams daily Choosing RWJBarnabas Health!
