Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Ultrasound Technologist at Gotham Health/Cumberland, an ambulatory FQHC community-based practice for the NYC Health + Hospitals System.  The Center emphasizes primary and preventive care, working to help identify and achieve health goals. Gotham Health, Cumberland is located in a dynamic and vibrant area of downtown Brooklyn, within the vicinity of the Barclay center, Atlantic, Museums, BAM, Parks and very easy access to Manhattan!

Responsibilities

PAGNY Gotham Health is seeking a Full Time Ultrasound Technologist to join our Cumberland Facility in Brooklyn.

 

Under general guidance, performs diagnostic sonography and manages data collection and organization of the ultrasound roomsResponsibilitiesUse sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concernPrepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsiesReport to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attentionMaintain sonography equipment and report machinery failureConduct scan tests and write reports based on the resultsManage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environmentWork under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members

 

Qualifications Current registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)Completion of an AMA approved school of Diagnostic Medical SonographyProficient in all areas of general UltrasoundMust be able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistanceBilingual Preferred, but not required
