The U.S. Consumer Services and Enterprise Digital & Data Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. Requirements for this position: + 3 years building and shipping web-based software in a professional environment + Experience building highly interactive web experiences in JavaScript using React, Angular, Ember or similar + A thorough understanding of how the web works, modern web application architectures, modern browser APIs and capabilities + Familiarity with modern service-based web application architectures + Strong communication skills - able to explain technical concepts to designers, product managers and business people in ways that are meaningful to them Also critical to your success: + The insight to notice problems in how we work, and the initiative to fix them + The ability to see and to understand the larger context in which your team works and to craft solutions within that context + Adaptability to changes in product requirements, organizational structures and business conditions + A strong belief in your own responsibility for ensuring quality craftsmanship + Creativity, passion and the drive to solve challenging problems + An open, collaborative spirit Bonus points: + Experience building browser applications with React + Experience building server-based applications and services with ES6 and a Node-based toolchain + Experience with multiple relational and non-relational database technologies + Experience building distributed systems with an eye toward scalability, reliability and security + Experience in a fast-paced startup environment Qualifications + BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline with atleast 5 years of experience in building large scale applications + Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model + Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles + Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux) + Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript + Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js) + Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus + Familiarity with RESTful APIs + Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token + Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools + Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc. + Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements + A knack for benchmarking and optimization + Familiarity with code versioning tools such as Git **Qualifications** Salary Range: $85,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
