We are currently seeking a UI Designer to join our team in Herndon (REMOTE), Virginia (US-VA), United States (US).
We are seeking a highly skilled UI Designer who is passionate about creating exceptional user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI design, fluency in design tools, and a deep understanding of web technologies and accessibility standards.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
Collaborate with a cross-functional team (developers, researchers, product owners), to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering. Propose ideas and new features that bring simplicity and user-friendliness to complex design roadblocks. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas. Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards. Ensure designs are in compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in design (e.g. UX, graphic, interaction, web, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience (UX), Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience with the following: Acquiring and interpreting user data (e.g., planning and conducting usability tests); Creating personas, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, low and high-fidelity mock-ups, site maps and journey maps; and Creating end to end designs across mobile and desktop devices Minimum 5 years of experience with Figma and/or comparable design tools like Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), Sketch, InVision Studio. Minimum 5 years of experience with HTML5 and CSS. Minimum 2 years of experience with Section 508 compliance. Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Suitability Determination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of information architecture, design, and usability best practices, heuristics, and techniques Have an online portfolio demonstrating experience creating end to end designs across mobile and desktop devices Familiarity with Jira for task management and project tracking is a plus Experience working in an Agile environment Experience working in a remote and/or hybrid design environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills A solid understanding of React MUI graphical libraries
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is [Min: $73,332 - Max: $152,776]. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
