Required Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) One (1) year of experience as a tutor or lab assistant At least one (1) course in the specialized field or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications Minimum 3.00 GPA with grades of B or better in tutoring subject areas At least one (1) year’s working experience in providing support services to students from various backgrounds At least one (1) year’s experience in the content area tutored At least one (1) year’s working experience tutoring in a college environment Bilingual in English and Spanish in both written and verbal communications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to provide subject-specific content to help students achieve academic success Ability to work with developmental and college level students Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment Ability to use computer applications and enterprise systems, including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Physical Demands and Work Environment Physical Demands

The Tutor – TRIO supports TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) students to become independent learners, persist in college, and reach their academic goals.
