Turnaround Scheduler

Insight Global is seeking a Scheduler to join one of Albertas leading oil and gas companies on a 1 year hybrid contract, with a strong possibility of extension. The role involves creating, updating and coordinating project schedules utilizing Primavera and supporting the Capital Maintenance team to plan activities during major turnarounds. This resource will be required to be on site in Medicine Hat during the execution phase of the turnaround.
Responsibilities include:
- Schedule creation, monitoring, updating and distribution
- Consulting with project manager and technical experts to set up assignment, tasks and subtasks
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective scheduling management system
- Coordinating project timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders
- Monitoring project timelines and deadlines
- identifying potential schedule delays and facilitating intervention in a timely manner
- Evaluating performance and preparing project progress reports
- Accommodating changes to project schedules
