Job Description An employer is looking for a System Engineer to sit in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in system administration, Linux administration, and serving as a technical liaison between system engineers, network engineers, and non-technical managers. Responsibilities include administering system rights and responsibilities for on-premises cluster and cloud infrastructures, utilizing AWS cloud services, implementing and managing virtualization technology, and leading large-scale data migration efforts. The candidate should be able to decompose IT systems, identify dependencies and relationships, and integrate those systems throughout a digital environment. They will assess IT systems across their lifecycle, perform systems engineering activities within a hybrid, multi-cloud ecosystem, and apply multiple disciplines such as cybersecurity engineering. The role requires integrating technical and business aspects of IT solutions, interacting comfortably with senior leaders, and working effectively in high operational tempo. Compensation: $67/hr to $79/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Skills and Requirements TSSCI or SCI Eligible 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP) 12+ years of experience as a System Engineer, Technical Architect, or similar role 5+ years of experience with cloud computing environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS). Experience replicating a data center from scratch to include virtual and on premise machines Ability to decompose IT systems and identify dependencies and relationships with other IT systems Integration of systems and analyze them through lifecycle of conceptualization to retirement.
