What You’ll Do as Trucking Manager Ensure compliance with DOT rules, FMCSA regulations, and truck driver responsibilities Manage and supervise drivers and shop personnel, ensuring efficient operations Oversee dispatching schedules to optimize deliveries and workflow Enforce safety rules and maintain compliance with company safety protocols Schedule and oversee work orders, repairs, and routine maintenance Conduct driver interviews, manage the hiring process, and onboard new employees Handle employee performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary Collaborate with the Mine Manager to ensure materials are stockpiled, screened, and ready for transport Prepare cost estimates for projects and transportation needs Ensure drivers maintain clean and well-kept trucks, both inside and out Address and resolve customer issues and complaints promptly and professionally Coordinate with contractors to manage schedules and ensure timely material deliveries Perform sand testing and ensure quality standards are met Communicate operational issues and updates to company owners
