**Truck Mechanic** **Job Description** Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, including engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and more. Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address mechanical issues. Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical problems. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. **Responsibilities** + Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers, including engine diagnostics, brake systems, electrical systems, and more. + Conduct thorough inspections to identify and address mechanical issues. + Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and repair mechanical problems. + Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work performed. + Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. + Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. + Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. **Essential Skills** + Proven experience as a truck mechanic or in a similar role. + Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems. + Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. + Strong communication and customer service skills. + Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Intermediate level experience, particularly with under-the-truck work. + Motor/Engine work is a plus. + Willingness to work on call. + Experience with fleet maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a small family-owned shop that is consistently busy. The shop is small and family-owned, with a tight-knit team atmosphere. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Fremont, Nebraska. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
