The Loss Prevention Officer performs grounds patrol or guard desk duties to maintain order, enforce rules/regulations and ensure observance of all applicable laws.

Essential Functions
Comply with Mainsail’s Core ValuesPatrol lobby, common areas and associate areas regularlyCommunicate with management, investigate disturbances, complaintsComplete necessary shift summaries and reporting as dictated by property and company requirements Obtain assistance for accident victimsAct as example for safety and security practicesUtilize judgment regarding courses of action towards troublesome guestsAssists management and enforcement officers in emergency situationsEnsure all guest/associate contact is professional and courteousPerforms related duties to include assistance with deliveries, tasks initiated by supervisorsBe familiar with the organization of the Hotel and know the function of each department Attend meetings/training as required by managementOther duties as assigned by management to assist our guestsQualification Standards
Education & Experience
High school graduateOne year of security experience requiredSecurity Officer Certification from State of Florida optionalValid Drivers’ License/State of Florida Excellent customer service skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenPhysical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of timeAbility to communicate clearlyCorrected vision to normal rangeAbility to lift 20 poundsLong hours sometimes requiredFollowing ergonomic safety practices re: lifting and movement; using standard safe trade practices using personal protective equipmentUse of OSHA-mandated and/or proper/accepted work practices (e.g., lockout-tag out, confined space, “hot work” work above ceiling practices)Mental Demands
