Job Summary

The Treater is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of wood preserving equipment; ensures material is treated following the appropriate specifications; handles and disposes hazardous materials according to policy. Tests wood fiber and solutions to meet specific treating requirements.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Transfer material into the treating cylinder loading and unloading from the pad.Provides general preventive maintenance on treating equipment.Completes pre-shift/startup equipment checklist and reports any problems or concerns.Prepares for the daily treating schedule.Ensures rough material is ready and available for treating.Follows treating protocol and instructions as described by Company policy.Maintains a clean and organized work area.May assist others with moving material, loading and unloading material to and from the tramParticipates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.Performs other duties as required

Compensation & Benefit Information:

Hourly Pay Range:  $20.00-$22.00 per hour dependent on experience*

                *pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living 

Bonus/Incentive Pay:

Incentive pay may be available for certain job roles and may include piece rate incentives, weekly production bonuses, trip rates, and employee referral bonuses.  A discretionary annual bonus based on Company and business unit performance may also be provided.

Qualifications

Minimum of high school diploma/GEDMinimum 3 months, preferred 6 months of experience in related areasDemonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesSuccessfully complete State Licensing requirementsSuccessfully complete Forklift Driver licensing processMust be at least 18 years of age
