Treasury Management Onboarding & Project Specialist

Job Summary:

The Treasury Management Onboarding & Project Specialist is a pivotal role, accountable for the end-to-end management and execution of complex treasury product onboarding projects. This position demands a high level of expertise in project management, including the ability to design and implement robust project plans, meticulously schedule and sequence activities to meet deliverables, and ensure the alignment of cross-functional teams. The Treasury Management Onboarding & Project Specialist will orchestrate project workflows with precision, identify and engage key stakeholders, assign roles and responsibilities, and establish clear expectations and accountability. Through strategic goal setting, and milestone tracking, this position ensures that the project is delivered on time, meets or exceed expectations, and achieves successful outcomes.  
 

Key Responsibilities:Project Planning & Execution: Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan, sequence activities to meet deliverables, identify and prioritize needs, establish clear goals and milestones, and track progress. Ensure timelines are upheld and project milestones are achieved by maintaining a disciplined approach to project management. Be the primary resource for project plan development and accountabilityStakeholder Management & Accountability: Identify and engage key stakeholders, define roles and responsibilities, set clear expectations, and facilitate collaboration across departments such as Sales, Service, Onboarding, Product, vendor, clients, and other technical partners. Lead with a proactive communication style to keep all parties informed of progress, challenges, and deliverables.Project Oversight & Escalation: Assume full control of the project timeline, milestones, and resources, providing consistent direction aligned with project objectives. Proactively escalate issues requiring senior management engagement to ensure swift resolution.Client Engagement & Guidance: Conduct discovery and readiness meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to establish project scope, provide guidance on project objectives, identify and assign tasks, and clarify roles and responsibilities. Facilitate client meetings to review project status, address questions, and confirm project alignment with client goals.Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project management practices. Aim to improve the client and colleague experience, streamline workflows, and promote best practices in project management.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.5 - 8 years of related experience in treasury management, project management, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects by working collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentProficient in Microsoft Office tools.Project Management Professional (PMP) CertifiedExcellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor.Alignment with Huntington’s core values (Can-Do Attitude, Service Heart and Forward Thinking).Strong project management skills to effectively execute on projects and keep implementations focused.Ability to develop a deep understanding of Huntington’s Treasury Management product offerings and ability to collaborate with other key stakeholders.A good communicator for internal and external discussions.  Able to provide clear, concise direction on the objectives and processes to move projects forward, solve for challenges and proactively escalate as needed.Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization including senior and executive level management.
