Job Description
Aston Carter is looking for a Treasury Analyst for our client in the insurance industry. The Treasury Analyst is responsible for managing bank processes for payments and deposits. This includes setting up payments on the bank platform, uploading bank transactions, extracting bank information, and incorporating it into local data files. The role also involves investigating bank transaction issues, resolving payment escalations, and updating payment reports. Additionally, the Treasury Analyst will be responsible for various account reconciliations and completing ad hoc reporting.
Responsibilities
+ Manually key or upload payments to the bank platform.
+ Pull daily bank reports to log successful payments or errors.
+ Update local data files with detailed payment/deposit transactions on a daily basis.
+ Troubleshoot payment errors with Operations or other members of the Finance team.
+ Conduct bank transactions and reporting training for other finance users.
+ Coordinate issues and inquiries with the bank's support organization.
+ Complete various reconciliations.
+ Complete various finance reports.
+ Support the claims payment team with daily sanction checks and monitoring of all payments held.
Must-haves:
+ Reconciliation
+ Banking
+ Reporting
+ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
+ 5 years of experience in an accounting position (AR/AP, bank reconciliations)
+ Experience with bank platforms and bank payment processes
+ Knowledge of accounts payable processes
+ Experience in processing and analyzing large volumes of data
+ Experience with treasury and bank reports
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Prior work with banking platforms
+ Experience with bank reconciliation processes
+ Experience creating reconciliation data files
+ Experience with Great Plains software
+ Experience holding client-facing roles in any industry
+ Prior experience working in a compliance-focused role
+ Curious and investigatory mindset
+ Strong communicator capable of engaging all levels of stakeholders
+ Methodical approach
Work Environment
This role reports to the Controller and will work closely with the CFO to implement new processes. The Treasury Analyst will also collaborate with claims teams and operations teams. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a start time between 7-8am. This is a hybrid role, mostly remote, with 2 days per month in the office. The office is located on the 20th floor with amazing mountain views, an open floor plan, and is close to the C Train. The building is attached to the +15 and has a subsidized gym. The office environment is structured, professional, and fairly quiet
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/hr.
