Job Title: Traveling Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Superintendent to join our team. This role involves overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring quality and safety standards, and managing schedules for a variety of ground-up construction projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and the project management team to deliver successful project outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesAttend meetings with clients and contractors.Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of the field labor force.Review and become familiar with the project budget and general conditions estimate.Review and approve Trade Contractor Payment Applications with the Project Manager.Develop and maintain site logistics plans in coordination with the Project Manager, clients, and contractors.Conduct quality and safety inspections.Coordinate site testing and inspection efforts.Communicate and enforce the Safety and Health Management Program.Manage schedules, including the preparation of look-ahead schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates.Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports.Participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings and conduct foreman’s meetings.Review and assist in developing scopes of work for each subcontractor.Essential Skills6-10 years of ground-up new construction experience (industrial, commercial, warehouses, utilities, water treatment plants, gas with building-related envelopes is a plus).Experience with RFIs, submittals, and change orders.Proficiency in Procore, utilities construction, MEP, and carpentry.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in construction management.Ground-up construction experience.MEP Construction Coordinating experience.Work Environment

This role is fully on-site 5 days a week, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The company offers full compensation for lodging and per diem expenses for all travel. You will be joining a small, family-run team with a backlog of work extending to 2026, offering tremendous growth opportunities within a stable company that has been in operation since 1952.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $57.00 - $64.00/hr.
