Travel CST Educator CVOR Focus
Salary: $2446 / Week $2,446 gross weekly / 40 hrs. Must live >50 miles from Neenah, WI Shift Requirements: 8hr days Start times: 515/530am Certifications: NBSTSA CST & AHA BLS Minimum Experience: 10+ years CVOR/CST experience, REQUIRED Charting Experience Required: EPIC Preferred Required Skillset: Experience specifically to CVOR scrubbing a variety of open heart cases, Valves, bypasses, double valves, triple valves, bypass/valve cases Unit Overview: 1-2 per day. 2 CVOR rooms. Equipment: Will train as needed (on site) Proven performance in educating a team, developing a team, training 1:1, providing coaching/feedback in a constructive manner. Orientation: 1 day of HR & opportunity to observe/participate in cases. Scrub Colors: Provided Dedicated to CV OR Educator Role : Strong experience in leadership and ability to quickly adapt to surroundings. Be available prior to the start of cases to assist with set up and identify any missing items. During cases, be scrubbed in providing education to ST team members, mentor, provide in moment coaching. Identify areas of opportunity across service line. When no cases, provide education to others, update preference cards Goal is to increase cases and acuity of cases. Working to develop protocols that will contribute to productivity and competence for staff. Attend weekly Thursday meetings; working closely with Surgeons, Manager. The Surgical Technician/Tissue Processing Technician is responsible for the sterilization of surgical equipment, arrange surgical equipment and adjust medical tools to ensure that the surgical devices are functioning properly. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions + Assists team members to place and position patient on table + Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves + Aids team to don gowns and gloves + Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation + Hands instruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by the surgeon during operation. + Puts dressings on patient following surgery + Counts sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation + Washes and sterilizes equipment, using germicides and sterilizers + Cleans operating room + Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: + Surgical Technologist certification as applicable per state and/or client requirement + One year experience as a Surgical Technician preferred (Tissue Processing Technologist – only) + Degree in biology related field which includes a degree / certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred + Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice + Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program when applicable + Current CPR if applicable + TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable + Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) + Must meet all federal, state and local requirements + Successful completion of new hire training as applicable to job site + Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements + Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language is required + Computer proficiency required + Must be at least 18 years of age Please note that this pay range representsa good faith estimate of the compensation that will be offered for thisposition based on the circumstances.
