Responsibilities:

Serve as team lead to ensure accurate delivery of traffic engineering tasks for VDOT, Counties, Municipalities, and Federal AgenciesAssist in strategic planning, marketing, resource allocation, maintenance of deliverable schedules, and ensure adherence to project budgetsLead and assist with the development of traffic engineering reports which could include traffic forecasting, safety studies including road safety audits, corridor studies, traffic impact analyses and other traffic capacity related reporting such as IAR/OSARLead and assist with the development of traffic control plansCoordinate with project teams to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budgetProvide QA/QC for various traffic engineering and planning deliverablesDevelop and maintain key client relationships and leverage existing client relationships for future work opportunitiesAssist with proposal development, project interviews, and fee determinationParticipate in community engagement efforts and client managementMentor and support professional development of junior staffWork with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and VHB’s growth

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in Civil EngineeringVirginia Professional Engineer (PE) license. PTOE is desirable8 -11+ years of traffic engineering experience requiredAbility to manage budgets, staff and schedulesAbility to engage with client and support marketing pursuitsExperience with TIA and/or IAR analyses
