Brunswick believes “Next Never Rests™,” and we offer a variety of exciting careers and growth opportunities within united teams defining the future of marine recreation._ Lead the transportation department in strategic and day-to-day activities to include coordinating route efficiency efforts, working with partner carriers and brokers, creating and managing transportation goals identified in the strategic plan, identifying gaps in service from carriers, and being the primary point of contact for claims issues. Responsible for DOT compliance and safety and providing industry-leading quality service. Develop, communicate, and implement local transportation department policies and state and national regulations. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Work with all locations to identify issues and concerns with carrier service levels as well as own truck delivery efficiency. + Develop and implement policies and procedures that increase efficiencies of the department that meet or exceed customer expectations, resulting in high customer service ratings. + Manage the monitoring of driver routes, stops, and deliveries and ensure that all required logs are accurate and completed on time. + Collaborate with all departments to drive improvements against key metrics. + Develop maintenance schedules and procedures that ensure high-performing vehicles and equipment while maintaining adequate coverage for deliveries. + Ensure training for drivers at all locations are within industry best practices, Land N Sea policies, and DOT regulations. + Keep up with the latest in transportation techniques and operating methods. + Coordinate with current partner carriers to ensure proper service levels as well as identify new partners who can/will improve service to customers. + Use Geotab reports to help drive safety improvements with teams at individual facilities **EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:** + Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration or related degree + Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience within the transportation industry, or the equivalent of 8 years supervisory experience in the transportation industry. + Possesses a strong understanding of DOT, FDA, and OSHA, CSA compliance + Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Outlook. + Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships and communicate with executive leadership, staff, customers, and vendors. + Evidence of strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to make sound business-based decisions. + Evidence of ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple concurrent priorities. + Experience with Transportation Management Systems (Navisphere, Agile, etc) is highly desired. _Next is Now!_ _We value growth and development, recognizing that people come with a wealth of experience and talent beyond just the technical requirements of a job.
