STV has an opportunity for a strategic-minded Transportation and Infrastructure leader motivated by great projects, highly technical teams, and competition to work with our local practice and national centers of excellence to provide superior client service. Specifically, this individual will be an integral part of the Pennsylvania leadership team and will be responsible to develop business, manage and deliver projects, develop staff, and respond to client needs. This is a seller/doer position and requires a self-motivated individual with a desire to grow a practice. The ideal candidate is an individual who desires to lead through example, is professionally respected, an excellent communicator, and possesses a vast understanding of developing client relationships.
STV is seeking a Project Director that can be based out of any mutually agreed STV office in Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Douglassville, or Philadelphia). Leveraging extensive experience in project management, this leader is responsible for empowering project managers and project teams to successfully deliver projects leading to satisfied clients and financial performance. They will also assist our Pennsylvania client service teams to focus on client management and development, serving as a client manager and project manager for future assignments and pursuits with key clients in the area. This individual is expected to identify and develop project opportunities, serve as a pursuit champion, and act as a resource for STV pursuits.
The position will serve as a key advisor and partner on Project Delivery and Business Development through collaboration across all areas of the business. Their business development efforts will need to include the entire scope of STV services including our center of excellence national practices. Responsibilities include:
Provide proactive and effective Project Delivery advice, counsel and solutions so that the Company can create an industry leading Project Delivery focusAct as a strong team player, trustworthy, approachable, and reliable. Be “hands-on” and execute with excellence, while also operating effectively at a senior strategic level within the organization.Provide senior-level oversight and guidance to project managers and teams, ensuring effective resource allocation, risk mitigation, and issue resolution.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and project management best practices to drive innovation and ensure the company's competitive edge.Influence PM development and implement Project Delivery Training ProgramsServe as the Client Manager for selected key clients within the area and be active and visible in the industry.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project delivery team, promoting innovation, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.Promote all STV services to clients while working with our project managers, client service teams and centers of excellenceWork with regional leaders to drive superior client experience and lead the project pursuit processes based on proven capture techniques.Lead selected pursuits through client relationship development and/or through development of strategy and participation in pursuit activities.Prepare technical and cost proposals to win work.Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations.Develop relationships with senior leadership in key client organizations.Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering majorPA PE License Minimum of 15 years’ experience in managing projects of various sizesStrong management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate teams to achieve goalsBroad knowledge of construction, design and management of Surface Transportation ProjectsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to form effective relationshipsDon’t meet every single requirement?
