We are seeking an organized and multitasking professional to support transportation planning and carrier management activities across all shipping modes, including LTL (less-than-truckload), truckload, and intermodal. This role plays a critical part in ensuring service levels are met while driving down costs and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Provide support for transportation planning and carrier management across all shipping modes.Investigate, resolve, and follow up on carrier performance issues related to store needs.Manage transportation for DC inbound shipments, supplier-direct freight, and branch transfers.Execute load planning, assign loads to carriers, and track loads in transit.Maintain network data for stores, distribution centers, and suppliers (e.g., addresses, closures, store capabilities).Communicate ETA updates and shipment statuses to stores and branches.Obtain freight quotes, negotiate rates with carriers, and manage freight schedules.Support meetings with carriers and internal stakeholders to address transportation needs.Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring timely communication and problem resolution for approximately 30 stores and distribution centers.

Day-to-Day Tasks:

Review and respond to emails regarding shipment statuses and ETAs.Assign loads to carriers, track shipments, and manage load planning.Provide updates to stores and branches about shipment arrivals.Collaborate with sales teams, vendors, distribution centers, and customers to address transportation needs.Multitask continuously in a fast-paced environment with minimal downtime.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

1+ year(s) experience in transportation planning or a similar role.Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and exceed expectations.Strong attention to detail and data collection skills.Self-starter with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Familiarity with transportation management systems (preferably E2Open/BluJay).Ability to learn and use trucking industry terminology.
