What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health

Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Transportation is responsible for the movement of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturing, warehousing and the customer. Management of transportation assets and systems to gain greater service, cost efficiency and optimization of processes.

Responsibilities

Experience in a pick/pack/ship distribution environmentEffective multitasking skills, providing attention to several service related issues at onceExcellent problem solverExceptional communication skillsPrevious customer service experience is idealStrong attention to detailAbility to take on additional operations job assignments as necessaryMust be experienced and comfortable working in Excel

Qualifications

1-3 years of experience, preferredHigh School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred

Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete standard tasksWorks on routine assignments that require basic problem resolutionRefers to policies and past practices for guidanceReceives general direction on standard work; receives detailed instruction on new assignmentsConsults with supervisor or senior peers on complex and unusual problems

Anticipated hourly range: $15.00 per hour - $19.32 per hour
