Job Description

AECOM Mexico is seeking a Business Line Manager- Transportation Sector for immediate employment in the Mexico City, Mexico office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Uses his/her Commercial Skills to carry on all project-win process (Prospect, Business Development, Bid, Proposal, Booking)Takes advantage of his/her networking in Mexican Market to carry on the actions aboveTechnical understanding of transportation projectsPlans complex transportation projects, develop programs, establish, and manage procurement plans, working capital and financial performance.Ensures that projects are executed according to planBecomes familiar with the operation of the business and with the economic commercial environmentInforms of any issues facing the business while anticipating and preventing unexpected situationsOperates as leader while also getting involved in the details of the workTakes a proactive approach in helping the business to solve problemsResponsible for driving accounting interface to ensure timely and accurate preparation and upload of estimates at completion (EAC)Validates the accuracy of revenue recognition at month endCo-ordinates responses to client audit requestsReviews significant project results and variances with the Project Accounting TeamResponsible for driving working capital management and reporting, through the achievement of cash flow objectives, engage in capital expenditures and seek to find cost effective solutions, to ultimately instill a culture of cash

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Architecture8+ years of experience in a senior position performing team management, project management, and business developmentExcellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English (bilingual)

Preferred Qualifications:

15+ years of experience to include at least 10 in a senior position performing team management, project management, and business developmentMaster’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering or ArchitectureMaster’s degree or Diploma in Transportation EngineeringKnowledge of Mexican Transportation Market and relevant key stakeholdersExperience in rail, subway, ports, airports and other transportation projects is essential20+ years of experience to include at least 10 in a senior position performing team management, project management, and business developmentExperience in highways and bridges and other similar infrastructures is a plusExpertise in Project Management, Client and Customer ManagementMust display evidence of good leadership, business partnering and influencing skillsMust feel comfortable participating both as an effective contributor and a listener in group settings which include senior staffCapabilities to establish business partnerships and procure services required to deliver complex highway and other transportation projectsMust be able to develop, integrate and price proposals for Infrastructure projects, requesting specific support from technical teams when it could be neededKnows the business and the Transportation technical and functional skills needed to do the jobUnderstands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in generalApproaches the role with drive and energy with an eye on the bottom lineNot afraid to initiate action before all the facts are knownIs well organized and resourcefulPossesses a Strategic and Results-oriented thinkingEffective and efficient at coordinating multiple resources to get things doneIs able to work on multiple tasks at once without losing trackForesees and plans around obstaclesWarm, friendly, and interpersonally agileRelates well to all kinds of people and builds solid professional relationships
