Shift/Hours: FT, Nights, 7P-7A, (3)12-hour shifts per week

Unit Specifics: Will be assisting Round Rock NICU team and attending deliveries. When there is a transport, will attend Ground and Flight transport. This will be a NICU transport position but assist with other NICU needs as well. 

\n

**At least 2 years in NICU, preferably with level IV experience. Transport experience a plus.

Job Summary

\n

As a Transport Registered Nurse, you will care for high-risk patients and their families in a mobile setting. You are vital in upholding care standards and assisting in neonate and child transport cases. You will follow Physician’s directions to stabilize patients before transferring them to specialized care. Your responsibilities include caring for patients in various units such as ICU for newborns and Emergency Department.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nProviding vital care knowledge to help the team assess patients, stabilize conditions, implement interventions, and communicate effectively with physicians.\nTaking part in trauma team operations, and becoming an energetic member of the Rapid Response Team whenever possible.\nContributing to the achievement of personal, departmental and hospital targets by providing innovative ideas, suggestions, and solutions.\nParticipating in ongoing education, team meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and training sessions at department and hospital levels.\nParticipation in the process of developing and verifying patient care standards that apply to those being transported.\n\n

Key Success Factors

\n\nExceptional communication skills are vital.\nProblem-solving and critical thinking skills are important for making quick selections.\nExperience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records is preferred.\nUse interpersonal skills to engage with diverse team members in the organization.\nExperience in NICU or PICU is an asset.\n\n

Qualifications

A minimum of an Associate's degree in NursingThe candidate should possess at least (2) two years of relevant professional experience.Registered Nurse(BLS) Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.
