Transport Area Manager

Your responsibilities would include:

•    operationalizing the functional strategic plan focused on standardization and automation, and setting operational strategies and team objectives
•    building an analytical and continuous process improvement (CPI) mindset within the team, challenging the status quo to drive efficiency across clusters
•    owning service delivery for agreed volumes and quality, while continuously driving improvements
•    partnering with OpCo stakeholders to provide accurate, on-time data and driving standardization and process improvements on their side
•    assessing and mitigating operational risks, acting as an escalation point for Team Leaders, OpCos, and Sequoia leadership to resolve issues and prevent recurrence
•    leading and developing Team Leaders, including recruitment, performance management, and career development
•    managing team budgets, ensuring alignment with business requirements, and controlling costs vs. budgets
•    embedding internal controls into processes to ensure effective execution and mitigation of any deficiencies.
 

You are a good candidate if you have:

•    min 10-15 years of experience in logistics, with a strong understanding of the industry and business acumen
•    management experience, including leading teams and fostering collaboration
•    a standardization and improvement mindset, with proven experience in process optimization and change management
•    strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems and drive results in complex situations
•    excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with experience working with diverse stakeholders (e.g., customer service & logistics managers, project teams, planners)
•    fluency in English.

You are a perfect match if you also have:

•    demonstrated success in building effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders across different functions
•    experience in driving process improvements in a global or regional environment
•    ESP management experience and the ability to translate strategic goals into operational deliverables effectively.
