Transplant Education Coordinator
Promotes professional growth of all digestive health team members, plan, organize, develop and direct all in-service educational programs throughout in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the administrator, assure that the highest degree of quality care is always maintained.

Plan, develop, direct, evaluate, and coordinate educational and on-the-job training programs.Provide leadership in formulating the goals and objectives of the in-service educational programs of digestive health.Develop, evaluate and control the quality of in-service educational programs in accordance with established policies and procedures.Secure, develop and maintain records, reports, instructional manuals, reference materials, etc., pertinent to in- service educational programs.Assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the in-service educational programs.Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of orientation programs that orient newly hired personnel to their position, the facility’s policies, and procedures.Assist licensed nursing personnel (i.e., RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Aides) in obtaining in-service training to keep their license current in accordance with state law. Provide in-service training as necessary/required.Assist unlicensed personnel (i.e., CMAs, techs, etc. in obtaining necessary experience and training to advance through the Digestive Health technician career ladder. Provide in-service training as necessary/required.Work to ensure team members are pursuing GI-specific certifications and provide necessary training/in-serving to support this goal.10. Develop and direct orientation programs for all personnel, in accordance with our established policies and procedures.Ensure that individual employee training records are maintained and filed in the employee’s personnel record.Recommend to the administrator the equipment and supply needs of the department.Meet with department directors, managers, and supervisors, on a regularly scheduled basis, and solicit advice concerning their training needs, and assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or improvement of services.Implement recommendations from the Digestive Health quality processes as they relate to the educational needs of the teams/facility.Maintains Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA), medical, and educational records for all employees. Validates completion of competency validation record for all nursing personnel upon hire, annually, and as needed. Coordinates and maintains CPR/ACLS/BLS, etc. certifications for licensed nursing personnel. Identify, develop, and implement in-service programs according to staff performance to correct identified needs. maintains accurate records of all educational programs.Position Compensation Range: $79,497.60 - $127,192.00 Annual

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Master of science in Nursing degree required.

Experience: 3+ years' experience in an acute care setting required; 2+ years' experience in clinical education preferred.

Licensure: None required.
