**Description** Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) T&D Transmission Engineering Department is looking for young, dynamic and self-motivated Transmission designer to support our T&D Transmission Line Engineering and Design Team in the Mumbai Office. T&D offers depth and breadth of experience in power delivery facilities like overhead transmission-distribution, underground transmission-distribution, substation design, renewable power integration, Smart Grid and more, which offer a wide range of design and project execution experiences. This position is responsible for Transmission line related drafting and design work. Candidate will perform work independently to perform transmission design & drafting tasks, CADD design, prepare material lists and other tasks for simple to moderately complex projects. **Job Location** : Mumbai/Bangalore **Following are some specific duties & responsibilities:** + The preparation of engineering drawings like Plan & Profile, permitting, assembly and structure framing/loading drawings, reports and designs to support engineers. + Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems. + Picking up the markups as per the client requirement. + Communicating with engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings. + Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team. + Work independently but with some engineering guidance on complex projects + Ensuring final designs are compliant with regulations. + Identifying and communicating potential design/drafting problems to the rest of the team. + Participate in technical meetings with clients. + Ownership responsibility on the assigned work is required. **Qualifications** + Diploma in Civil/Electrical with 1-10 years of experience OR ITI in Civil/Electrical with 3-10 years of experience as CADD designer. + Minimum 3 years’ experience in Microsoft Office Suite and drafting AutoCAD. + Proficient in the English language. + Proven verbal and written communication. + Knowledge of overhead transmission line construction methods is preferable + Experience with various CADD tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, Google Earth, Revit, Civil3D. + Knowledge regarding survey, easements, right-of-way, and permitting. + Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and to prioritize work. + Flexibility to work in different roles for different clients both locally and worldwide. + An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must **Job** Engineering **Primary Location** India-Karnataka-Bengaluru **Schedule:** Full-time **Travel:** No **Req ID:** 242767 **Job Hire Type** Experienced Not Applicable #BMI N/A
