Job Title: Transition Consultant
Location: South West
Contract: Permanent
Your role
As a Transition Consultant you are responsible for growing the volume and value of the Photochromic category for Essilor. Driven by a branded approach with the Transitions family of products.
Supporting and collaborating with the Lens sales team to challenge customer behaviour and maximise Transitions growth opportunities (for both direct and indirect customers)
To add value and support Eye Care Professionals irrespective of entity or purchasing channel.
Main responsibilities:
Drive differentiation of the Transitions brand and products with all customers.
● To maintain a 10 - 12 week call cycle, ensuring all customers are up to date on Product and activities.
● To understand each Accounts current performance, knowledge and skills in selling Transitions.
● Construct mutually agreed development plans with each Account that result in increased dispensing of Transitions product.
● To regularly review business performance on Transitions with each customer and Essilor commercial colleagues, principally lens Business Development Managers to achieve category and revenue growth
● Use available tools, support programs and promotions to help ECPs grow.
● Deliver CET training when required to advance business objectives.
● To ensure that Essilor and competitor product knowledge is continually maintained.
● To maintain accurate customer records and reports for relevant accounts to ensure that sales data and market activity can be analysed accurately, recording all relevant information in salesforce.com.
● Continually reviewing customer needs, and feedback as appropriate.
● At all times to act as an ambassador of Essilor and its values.
Main requirements:
Working on own initiative to tight deadlines.
Proven track record of delivering effective training and coaching to change behaviour
Previous experience of training in group and individual environments.
Knowledge of ophthalmic lens theory. Successful selling experience essential. Ability to influence others. Ability to communicate at all levels both verbally and in writing. Ability to effectively analyse and interpret data. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Computer literate. Selling and negotiating techniques. Experience of working in practice.
Desirable
● Experience of successful sales account management in related field.
● Knowledge and experience of marketing theory and its application.
● Knowledge of lens manufacturing processes, Company products and a good understanding of the UK optical market.

Manages Time effectively. Managing your Account - Knows what drives each individual account. Understands the financials in the account and business drivers. Knows the decision makers in the practice and role responsibilities. Account Selling - Accurately plans for every call using a tool to capture notes. Effectively communicates with account by asking questions to uncover needs. Actively has action items and next steps for every account. Building your Business - Understands optic principals and how their products address them. Has a strong grasp of the market and how it impacts the business Uses a CRM system to prospect, forecast, analyze, manage and grow territory. Building your Network - Leverages internal clientele to build a network around products and services. Understands where to go when a need arises and works with network of Eye Care professionals to leverage business and personal growth.
