Transfers Analyst
Job Description

As a Transfers Analyst you will be a detail-oriented and proactive individual who will play an important part in our team. You will be responsible to administer and process all Transfer instructions ensuring that the underlying beneficial owners receive the level of service in both accuracy and timeliness that owners would get if assets were held in their own name.

In this role, you will also be involved in monitoring group emails and internal case logs, addressing issues, providing updates and ensuring accurate and efficient completion of tasks. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Service and Support department to enhance system and process efficiencies and work closely with management and team members to improve documented procedures for greater controls and effectiveness within the business.

The responsibilities will include:  

Transfer processing:  Process daily Transfer instructions, ensuring that all instructions are delivered in a timely manner.  This includes transfer initiation, settlement, asset break investigations and enquiries.

Record keeping maintains records as are required to ensure the WRAP administration process is transparent to regulators and external auditors.

Monitor group email(s) and internal case log(s) to ensure issues are addressed, valid updates are regularly provided, and case logs are completed accurately and efficiently.

Review Breach and KPI reports and take ownership for exceptions from owned tasks by providing feedback and if required, resolution and follow up to Team Manager.

Other tasks: undertakes or assist with any other projects/tasks as may reasonably be required to facilitate the smooth operation of the team and Operations.  Including working with Service and Support department to develop system and process enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of team processing.

Working with management and other team members to enhance documented processes for greater efficiencies and controls within the business.  Being actively involved in regular reviews and update of role and product related procedures.

Testing team process related functions in context of project releases and general regression testing where required.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate? 

At least 2 years’ experience in an Investment Operations role

Familiarity with financial markets and wealth management products is preferable

Confident and able to take initiative given client and delivery focused environment

Independent, self-directing and delivery focused working style

Ability to work under pressure to multiple firm deadlines

Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills

A passion to be part of a high performing team

Ability to take ownership and responsibility
