Transactional Risk Intern

Work Environment: Hybrid/On-site, New York

Pay Rate: $22.00/hr.

About the role:
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an intern to join the Dual Transactional Risk Team for Summer [2025]. Dual’s Transactional Risk Team provides special insurance products for mergers and acquisitions (“M&A”). Its primary product, representations and warranties insurance, covers unknown risks the buyer may inherit when it acquires a new target company. Its other product, tax insurance, covers potential exposure for known tax issues in such transactions. This internship is a terrific fit for anyone looking for a broad exposure to the broader ecosystem of M&A, private investment banking or private equity.

Essential Functions:

Support underwriters in evaluating submission materials for quotes on terms for policies.Archive data on submissions and active dealsSupport analysts on transactional risk teamConfirm receipt of deliverables for policy issuanceLearn about risk assessments and pricing.Assist in maintaining accurate and up to date records.Conduct research on industry trends and summarize findings.Provide administrative and coordination support.

Job Requirements (education, experience, skills):

Currently enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent college graduate.Majoring in risk management, business, finance, or a related field is preferred.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Basic understanding of insurance principles is a plus.Above all, curiosity.If you do not meet all the qualifications for this role, we still encourage you to apply, as we are always looking for diverse talent to join our growing team.
