The Greek EY ΤΑΧ team has distinguished itself as a leader in TAX services in Greece as it was named "National Tax Firm of the Year" in the International Tax Review (ITR) European Tax Awards 2022 which makes this our 7th award win in a span of 12 years as well as a “National Transfer Pricing Firm of the Year” which makes this our 13th award win in a span of 14 years.
We are currently seeking for Transaction Tax Advisors (with Finance background), with limited experience or enthusiastic graduates eager in joining the dynamic Transaction Tax team.
Our Transaction Tax Practice is comprised of a team focused on the tax aspects of corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions & restructurings.
As a Transaction Tax advisor, you'll be right at the heart of the action. You'll work with many large organizations, fast-growing companies and private equity firms on some of the most complex deals. You'll be advising clients throughout the transaction lifecycle on key drivers to increase value and reduce the risks and uncertainty inherent in transactions.
Our Transaction Tax practice helps our clients plan, execute and integrate their transaction strategies. Our services include- among others- due diligence, deal structuring, post-deal integration and internal restructuring.
Your key responsibilities
Everything you will do will come back to providing Transaction Tax services for our clients. You will be given all the skills, knowledge and opportunities to progress and become ready to build a better working world for our people, our clients and the communities that support us.
You will be part of a dynamic team, working on tax M&A projects and engaged in:
Providing tax due diligence services (buy side and sell side) to identify both historical and potential future tax exposures Tax advisory services aiming at the development of an acquisition structure that is aligned with the client's commercial objectives and strategic business plans Developing carve out structures and in general tax restructurings Post deal tax support
Skills and attributes for success
Work effectively in a team sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and update other senior team members on the progress of your assigned work. Build strong internal relationships within other departments and teams across the organization. Continually develop personal skills through training, experience and coaching. Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
Strong academic record including a university degree in Business Administration or Accounting and Finance Substantial MS office knowledge Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English Excellent communication and prioritization skills Strong teamwork and leadership/project management skills Results-oriented approach with keen attention to high quality, details and accuracy Self-motivation and desire to exceed expectations
Ideally, you’ll also have
1- 2 years of working experience in tax or accounting professional field. Proven experience in tax due diligence projects, tax diagnostic reviews and/or tax certificate projects would be considered an asset. Working experience in a Big4 firm Postgraduate studies in Business Administration or Accounting and Finance
