The Center for BrainHealth® was created in 1999 to conduct leading-edge scientific exploration and innovative translational science, improving lives NOW and changing how the public thinks and acts about the brain and its health. BrainHealth seeks a community-based cognitive support coach to mentor and encourage residents of the Pleasant Grove neighborhood for the BrainHealth Project. The primary responsibility for this role will include engaging local community members in order to promote brain health awareness, in Spanish and in English. In particular, the community-based coach will help inform, recruit, and support Pleasant Grove residents as they participate in the BrainHealth Project. The desired candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be accustomed to interacting with diverse individuals from the community. Applicants should be comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that encourages growth and feedback. The position will require traveling within the Dallas area to various places in the community. Occasional evening and weekend hours will be required for special events and classes. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with two to four years’ experience in meeting planning.
