Training Specialist

The Training Specialist is responsible for the effective development, coordination, presentation, and documentation of training programs to support Flowserve’s internal and external customer training. This position requires great communication skills and the ability to engage in technical conversations with a varied audience. The Training Specialist will support the maintenance and creation of instructional materials including technical theory, practical demonstrations (hands-on training), visual presentations, etc.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Deliver content via in-person training, virtual modules, and other digital training methods to both internal and external customers.Create, revise, facilitate web-based training, instructor led classroom training and virtual training programs as well as assist as subject matter expert in the development of course materials and content related to field of expertise.Manage all metrics, desired course outcomes, evaluations, and feedback, and establish processes and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of Flowserve training program delivery.Perform maintenance on existing training materials to ensure it is up to date. This includes course materials and training equipment.Responsible for maintaining the course through regular validation testing of workshop activities, as new models, processes, and updated software will often change the intended outcome.Able to perform and train in root cause analysis.Experience in relevant industry (pumps, seals, valves, etc)Must have a passion for teaching and working with people.Be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and strive to deliver instructional content with the utmost professionalism and customer satisfaction while teaching.Excellent written and verbal communication and public speaking skills.Ability to work closely with customers either face-to-face or by telephone with a confident and positive manner.PC skills and experience with the Microsoft Office package.Be willing to travel (40-50% travel will be required).Understanding of SHE and OSHA regulations.Other duties as assigned.


Preferred Experience / Skills:

HS Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experienceCompetency reading P & I Drawings and Datasheets.Knowledge on mechanical drilling, tapping, clearance measuring using feeler gauges, Micrometers, Calipers.Demonstrate a working style which is team oriented and values communication, participation, and involvement of others.Able to work effectively with high degrees of self-management, making decisions around priorities.Prior Knowledge on Flowserve Products is a plus.
