If you have a passion for developing others and unlocking their potential, you might be interested in becoming our client’s new Training Officer for Opencast mining.

 

Requirements:

Relevant Tertiary Qualification Opencast Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines Assessor Certificate At least 5 years’ experience in the mining industry of which 2 years must be in a Training Officer/Assistant role

Responsibilities:

Consolidating the training needs from the Complexes in the area of responsibility to enable the formulation of the annual training plan and providing input into the Annual Training Plan and Workplace Skills Plan Ensure that course schedules in area of responsibility are developed, loaded, published and available for bookings to be scheduled on SAP and that training materials and assessments are prepared for each training invention  Ensure that a fixed asset register is maintained, and that equipment, tools and material used in training are properly maintained and available Ongoing engagement with internal stakeholders on their needs and keeping up with external development within the field Engaging and Liaising with Safety Discipline Supervisors, Middle Management and Development Committee Members to ensure that training materials are reviewed Ensure that materials, assessment guides, and tests are aligned with the company/QMS/SETA/QCTO requirements Ensuring that pre-training assessments, training delivery assessments and moderation are conducted in line with internal procedures
