Eurofins Environment Testing Australia is an Environmental testing network of fully accredited laboratories. With a staff of over 300 our laboratories are located in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and with Client Service Offices located in Adelaide, Darwin, Newcastle and Wollongong. We also operate field sampling services out of Melbourne and Sydney. We specialise in all areas of Environmental analysis, including Contaminated Soil, Sludge, Sediments, Leachate, Soil Vapour, Trade Waste Effluents, Sewage Effluents, Stack Emissions, Work Place Air, Ambient Air, Dust, Drinking Water, Surface Water run off, River & Stream Monitoring, Seawater, and Groundwater. 

Job DescriptionFull time, permanent position based in Geelong.Working hours Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm.An extra 1.5% superannuation paid on top of National standard super rate.Salary dependent on candidate skills and experience.

Reporting to the Field Services Section Leader, this position will be responsible for sampling of trade wastes.

Key accountabilities will include but not limited to:

Collecting trade waste samples from various client sites.Conducting trade waste sampling for clients in accordance to their Trade Waste agreements.Undertaking necessary client requirements in order to enter their sites and conduct the required sampling.Transporting samples to Eurofins in correct containers as per sample preservation and sampling guide.Upon returning to the laboratory with samples, complete Chain of Custody with all the clients that require analysis as per the sample scheduler.Liasising with clients and informing the supervisor of any changes / updates to continually service our clients including changing of contact details, changing of testing requirements, OHS documentation, providing certificate of insurances etc., Participate in OH&S related training, meetings and presentations as required.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will obtain the following:

Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science would be advantageous.Good knowledge of standard office applications, especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.General knowledge about systems, IT architecture and production control.Have good organisation and time management skills.Good communication skills and ability to meet client expectations / requirements to provide top service and outcomes.General preference and comfort in technical environments.Desire to continually learn and improve.
