Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations.The work model for the role is: onsite.This role is contributing to the Electrification business areaYou will be mainly accountable for:•\tImport and export customs declaration management. Responsible for customs declaration, inspection, and preparation of relevant documents. Accurately maintain customs declaration related data in GTS/JIT system, update relevant data timely. Ensure the authenticity, completeness, and accuracy of declaration information for smooth customs clearance. Maintain business information ledger, ensuring the integrity and traceability of electronic customs documents, preparing for customs inspection if needed.•\tProficient in product classification, according to customs requirements, classify products based on product technical parameters to ensure the declaration of HS Code to ensure the correctness of the customs classification for compliance control with classification procedure requirements. •\tLogistics process coordination. Follow up with the implementation of solutions to abnormal issues with customs brokers, responsible for the assessment of customs brokers' KPIs; Coordinate with logistics suppliers, follow up with customs clearance and transportation status, coordinate issues during transportation, optimize logistics plans, and ensure timely and safe delivery of goods to designated locations.•\tFollow up on import and export policies and regulations. Cooperate with the Trade Compliance Department to promote training and implementation of relevant policies and procedures in accordance with trade compliance and procedures. Pay attention to changes in import and export trade policies and customs regulations. Provide customs risk warning and response suggestions for compliant operation of import and export business. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to customs affairs, providing decision support and improvement suggestions, and promoting improvement projects related to customs and customs affairs.•\tResponsible for handling export certificates of origin issued by customs. And declaring franchise fees and other consulting or handling business with customs on a quarterly basis.•\tReconciliation of imported materials daily. Handling summary and taxation related procedures. Timely and accurately paying taxes and other import and export related expenses.•\tAlso participate in other work of Logistics department, such as improving the quality of import and export packaging and transportation, process improvement, and other daily logistics improvement work.
Qualifications for the role\tCollege degree or above. Major in international economics and trade, logistics are preferred, with a solid foundation of professional knowledge.\tMore than 5 years of logistics and customs clearance experience, familiar with import and export customs clearance processes, practical operational experience is preferred. Experience in import and export operations or customs clearance agencies is preferred.\tProficient in using China Internation Trade Single Window/ERP system. With certain English reading and writing skills and the ability to handle English customs documents, proficient in using Excel, Word, etc. Have good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Establish good communication skills with customs, cooperate smoothly with internal and external parties. Work conscientiously and responsibly. Have learning ability and have strong legal and risk control awareness.
