What will you be doing?

Barclays Services Corp. seeks Trade Floor Application Support in New York, New York  (multiple positions available):

Provide seamless end-to-end support for front office users to help drive the effectiveness and commercial strength of the trading franchise.Responsible in investigation of trader related issues to provide swift solutions or ad-hoc tactical fixes, whilst also engaging with application owners to provide effective problem management and rapid strategic resolutions.Responsible for communication, escalation and management of major crisis and technology incidents impacting front office.Monitor application incident queues/alerts ensuring maximum system uptime.Contribute to service level improvements by documenting known issues.Providing functional systems support for business activities ranging from trade capture to trade life cycling, PNL and risk position generation.Assisting with maintenance of configuration data ensuring accurate inventory of hardware, services, application and processes.May telecommute.

Salary / Rate Minimum/yr: $171,000 per year

Salary / Rate Maximum/yr: $188,100 per year

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.

This position is eligible for incentives pursuant to Barclays Employee Referral Program.

Purpose of the role

To provide frontline support and useful resources to departments and colleagues across the bank with everyday IT problems, issues and requests. 

Accountabilities

Provision of high-quality support and problem-solving capabilities through various communication channels to resolve specific technology issues related to products and applications, ensuring that the relevant stakeholders are updated on progress.Development of reports and dashboards to visualise and communicate key findings and recommendations for improvement to team leads and relevant stakeholders.Management of user requests including password resets, software installation, access provisioning and equipment troubleshooting.Collection and maintenance of incidents, requests and resolutions to access trends, identify common issues, track services metrics.Maintenance of a knowledge base containing documentation of resolved cases for future reference and self-service opportunities.Execution of assessments to establish the severity and urgency of reported issues to support the prioritisation process.Development and provision of user training on applications, systems and equipment to enhance experience and self-sufficiency.
