Job Responsibilities:
1. Compliance Policy Implementation and Execution
Work closely with department management to implement the group's trade compliance requirements. Support the daily compliance review of transactions in research, sales, procurement, service, and investment scenarios, Provide trade compliance consultation of daily projects for various sales organizations in Lenovo China to ensure that business operations comply with export control and economic sanctions regulations.
2. Maintenance, Optimization, and management of Compliance Screening Systems
Maintain and update the compliance database. Collect specific issues encountered during daily operations and provide feedback to the Compliance Manager. Assist in improving the compliance screening system and relevant screening system operating guidance. Help the Compliance Manager to offer continuous trade compliance legal training to compliance operation team.
3. Support for Export Control Classification and jurisdiction assessment
Assist trade compliance product classification experts in conducting jurisdictional evaluations under export control laws and classifying export control codes for various products, components, and software across Lenovo Group's product lines.
4. Other supportive work
Assist the compliance manager in conducting compliance training for business teams, follow-up on the integration of the compliance screening system with business systems and participate in the assessment of large projects to build understanding about the company's business, internal processes, and business systems.
Job Requirement:
1. Professional Background
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law.
1-2 years of experience in import/export control or economic sanctions-related work, with a good understanding of U.S. and Chinese export control, economic sanctions, and counter-sanctions laws and regulations.
2. Language and Skills
Fluent in English, which should be used as the working language. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Strong execution ability, sense of responsibility, and teamwork.
3. Preferred Qualifications
Overseas study experience or relevant experience in import/export control and sanctions compliance is preferred.
Interest in legal technology, project management, or digital tools is a plus.
4. Personal Qualities
Strong learning ability to quickly grasp the company's compliance policies and apply them in practice.
High stress tolerance to maintain efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and coordination skills to effectively handle cross-departmental matters.
