Job DescriptionThe Trade Compliance Lead will be located in Richardson, Texas and will partner with other members of the company and play a critical role in the strategic development and implementation of company-wide international trade compliance policies and programs. This position also will be dedicated for Lennox International’s import/export compliance, and sourcing activities in China (currently the Shanghai, Wuxi and Shenzhen regions). This covers all applicable aspects of U.S., Peoples Republic of China, and other relevant import and export laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Act and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), U.S. Customs Regulations and PRC Import and Export Regulations.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Leads the import/export process and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulationsHandles and coordinates internal customs audit, keeps track of post entries issues, interacts/coordinates with the external auditor for external audit review, and process with U.S. Customs all the post entry correctionsCollaborates with other departments/teams to integrate trade compliance within business systems or processes, such as customer sales, sourcing, accounting, and shipping/receivingReviews and recommends approval/rejection of marking waiver request Maintains records in accordance with customs record keeping requirementsEstablishes, implements and monitors metrics for measuring trade compliance effectiveness and continuous improvementInterfaces with customs officials, other government agencies, legal counsel and trade compliance consultantsProvides cross functional leadership, and training on trade complianceClassifies parts, components, and finished products for import and export purposes according to the U.S. and International HTS regulations and proceduresMaintains the classification master database, reviews and improves classification procedures, and checks with the external auditor the following: Classification, Country of origin, Valuation, Preferential and free trade programU.S Customs Broker mistakes, relevant changes, corrections and disclosuresHandles and coordinates internal customs reviews, keeping track of post entries issues, interacts/coordinates with the external auditor for external audit review, and processing with the U.S team all the post entry corrections.Collaborates with other departments/teams to integrate import and export compliance within business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, sourcing, accounting, or shipping and receivingPerforms research valuation analysis, corrective action planning, and responding to any third-party inquiriesTrains Vendors in US and Asia on documentation and trade compliance requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Finance and 5 years of international or domestic customs experienceStrong USHTS classification backgroundStrong ability to work without supervisionStrong ability to make decisions on their ownStrong ability to read engineering drawingsGood presentation, and oral/written communication skillsGood interpersonal skillsGood organizational, planning and follow-up skillsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient with PC and MS Office SuiteEnglish and Chinese fluent
