This is a full-time position located at the Capitol Annex Building in Baton Rouge, LA.
About this position:
Promotion - 70%:
-Assists staff with implementing marketing and promotional strategies with tour representatives, convention and visitors bureaus, and other stakeholders.
-Assists Tourism Marketing Representative 3 and the appropriate vendors to ensure development, proper placement and trafficking of creative.
-Coordinates in-progress partnership opportunities for tourism destination marketing organizations (DMO).
-Acts as liaison for DCRT between members of Louisiana's DMO and LOT contracted advertising agencies.
-Drafts and proofs messaging in regards to the advertising program.
-Researches and drafts content for internal reports on development and progress of advertising program.
-Represents the state at consumer/trade shows and sales missions to promote tourism.
-Collects and maintains data on sales leads to attract tour groups and expand into new markets.
-Conducts research and develops sales messages for individual clients.
-Assists sales and marketing staff with organizing and implementing special events to promote Louisiana as a tourist destination.
-Maintains digital database system of domenstic sleas leads to provide to Louisiana industry partners for follow-up to attract new visitors and to expand new markets in Louisiana.
-Drafts post-show reports within two business days of event conclusion detainling sales leads, contracts, means of improvement, etc.
-Coordinates with Tourism staff to ensure Louisiana's travel industry partners are aware of partnership opportunities within LOT.
Administrative - 25%:
-Maintains evaluation and reporting tools used to guage return on investment for all aspects of advertising program.
-Maintains outline of all programs, projects and events that detail partner buy-ins, performance expectations, target audience, and itineraries. Provides outline on a scheduled bases to supervisor for dissemination to higher-level staff.
-Maintains monthly income report for projects where LOT receives payments for partners.
Other duties as assigned - 5%

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in tourism, marketing, public relations, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
