The programs work with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and use communications, advertising, produce promotional campaigns to showcase Montana and create awareness about the state as a place to visit and do business. Through data-driven strategies and grant programs, the team aims to preserve and promote the genuine character of Montana and partners to achieve a sustainable economic future for all. *About this Position* The Tourism Grant Supervisor primarily serves as the program supervisor for the Office of Tourism Grant programs. This position is the liaison with internal and external stakeholders for tourism and recreation organizations across Montana. The position is also responsible for program and bureau outreach and education as well as professional development, program implementation, evaluation, technical assistance, and industry engagement. This position reports to the Tourism Program Manager and supervises 2-FTE. *Education and Experience:* * A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, public administration, or related field * Three years of combined job-related work experience in developing, communicating, facilitating, organizing, or managing public grants*and*2 years of supervisory experience * Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis. * Experience working with hosting and facilitating trainings, utilizing data, budget management, compliance, community organizing, and meeting logistics. * Tourism industry experience preferred *Competencies:* /Knowledge of:/ * Montana travel industry infrastructure and Montana as a travel destination, its cities, towns, rural areas, and attractions * Administrative principles, governmental accounting, and contract development and monitoring * Developing new grant programs, program guideline development and familiarity of ARMS processes. /Ability to:/ * Successfully establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, private sector business representatives, contracted agents, and the public * Work independently and be self-directed *How to apply* Apply online by submitting your *resume and cover letter.* /(Please Note: You do not need to complete the “work experience” or the “education & certifications” portion of the application process in our recruiting system.
